98 Ranger Radiator Support Rusting.
I have 98 Ranger that is in great condition. What I mean by that is if you looked at it you would swear that it have 10k on it. It has no rust on it that I know of EXCEPT the lower radiator support rail. It looks like it spent a year or two in salt water. It is made from stamped sheet metal. Has anyone else noticed this piece rusting (badly)? If so, what did you do to correct the issue? Sandblasting and POR-15?

No one has noticed this issue? I spoke to a used car / truck dealer and he said he checks for this on all Rangers / Mazda's he buys for resale.

My 94 had no rust issues and my 04 has none either. I do wash under the hood, body, etc etc several times throughout the year, especially during the winter to remove any accumulation of "slime". This is more important than many realize.
