Does anyone have an extra gas pedal swivel for a '54 F100 - the short part that attaches to the end of the gas pedal rod. It snaps into the inside-top of the pedal itself. Seems the only way to get one is to buy the entire pedal linkage. Has anyone fabricated any?

Reason: left out year
Hey Gramps, I installed a Lokar spoon set-up on my 54, but I keep all my old stock parts for a rainy day...or a Grumpy Gramps day ! Do you still need it???

Just so you'll know, I think Mid Fifty's has the whole assy. for about $40.00 if you want a new one anyway.
Hey 'e william' - YES! I want one. Let me know what you want for it.
I tried Mid-Fifty but they said they no longer have any single parts - would have to buy the whole setup. $40 isn't terrible if you need the whole linkage but it is when you only need a little swivel.
Hey...no problem. How about $Free from one 54 guy to another !!!
you just pay the ship cost to you...
Just to be sure what you need....this is the linkage that has three bolts holding it on the firewall, the bar goes up to the carb linkage on the engine side and the other end goes into the cab and has the short(apx. 1") pivot with ball end that pops into the rubber grommet in the back side of the gas pedal? Right?
What I will send you is the entire unit. The swivel piece that pops into the backside of the pedal is fixed in place and not removable...the whole piece is in great shape so you might just replace the whole thing.
Are you able to private message me so we can get the ship info right? and you can send just enough to cover the ship cost...any overage and I will put it in the box and send it with the part.

Appreciate your help Ed. Right now I'm making up a set of running boards out of 2" x 12" boards. Don't laugh, they look pretty darn good. I routed out the bottom where they sit on the brackets and will use leveling bolts to fasten them. They have a large flat head which sits very flush on the board. I originally had the boards stained to match the bed wood but decided to paint them black. Tomorrow I'll be making up the vertical sides and attach them with bisquits & glue. This will buy me some time before I get the $$ for "real" ones. Mid-Fifty is sending out the trim skirt so it should dress out pretty well. Can't wait to finish up the gas pedal.
Your bosrds sound good, I'm gonna dress mine with some pollished SS strips.
My bed is black walnut (not refinnished yet)
Got my new paint gun and chassis black in today so hopfully I can finnish the paint on the chassis and running gear and install ss brake lines.
Just dropped off the head at mach. shop for valve job and decking.
post some pics of those running board when your done.
later, Ed
The spoon is just a basic chrome Lokar unit. bolted more up on the firewall than on the floor...with a cable thru the firewall. When I re-do the cab (again) I will use an intake mounted throttle linkage on the other end of the cable (for smoother cable movement).
If you look in my gallery you can see the pedal set-up I installed with the new tilt and floor shifter conversion....spoon is barely visible behind brake pedal. If I remember correctly...the spoon was apx. 35.00.
The brake and clutch pedals are alluminum that I pollished myself.
I will be taking some photos of the wood boards and how I'll be cutting & fitting the vertical pieces. Right now I'm trying to figure out how I will attach the rear part to the side panel (underneath) as I do not want to drill holes in the fenders for the wood. If I drilled the fenders for the wood boards the holes would be too far up for the steel or glass boards because of the differences thickness. I have an idea that I will show in the future photos. I just want to be able to insert "normal" boards in the future without having to fill holes and repaint etc. I'll give an update shortly.
