They work pretty well once you get used to it. Make sure you invest in some kind of decent mattress, or a piece of plywood, as the ribbed bed goes right thru any sleeping bag and into your back. Another drawback is that you have to take down the tent if you need to run anywhere for supplies. On the upside they're great for quick set up and take down. Pay close attention as to how your roof is angled and aligned, Took me a while to figure out how to keep it from running off directly into the bed up by the cab window.

I have the Sportz truck bed tent. It worked well for what I was using it for but now I'm getting old and lazy so I go a different route now. I have a camper shell I use now (a.k.a - toppers). The truck tent does work great though. And like jlower said, get a mattress (air mattresses are perfect for this application). The tents are pretty easy to setup and take down though and are very easy to pack. They have some I've seen now that has a canopy coming off the back for added shade/protection which I thought was pretty cool.
I noticed you have a short box on your truck. I hope you're not taller than 6' or else you'll be trying to stretch out diagonally in the bed.

I went that route for a little while, but I spent a lot of time sleeping in the back in colder times of the year. I ended up getting a hard shell and a catalytic heater too. For occassional use, they fit the bill, but I used mine quite frequently and just got tired of putting it up and taking it down.
