360 to 390

i am getting a rebuilt 360 but want a 390. iv got a 390 long block but its not rebuilt. my guestion is can i just swap the crank or do it need to buy new oversize pistions and use the 390 crank and rods.
the 390 was a running motor out of a rot box and was packed heavy grease
but i would like a rebuilt motor.

The blocks are exactly the same so all you need to swap in the crank and rods, your piston size will be determined by how much the cylinders need to be bored, but stock the 360 and 390 have the same bore.

i looked last night but didnt find exactly what i need the 360 was rebuilt so i guess it was bored so i want to use the 360 pistions. r the pin hights the same or will i build to much compression with the 390s stroke

390 crank, 390 rods, 360 pistons, the usual hot set up for a 390 performer.

cool new gaskets and im set. should make shur if i have a 360 or 390 rebuilt engine 1st it sez 360 on the filter but why not make a 390 if ur rebuilding a 360

Need to check the number stamping on the rods and crankshaft to verify if its for a 360cid or 390cid.
