Tyre Pressures
Hi All,
Just fitted a new set of tyres to my 74 F100 2WD.
I have checked the repair manuals who say to look in the vehicle handbook or glovebox or door side etc for the recommended tyre pressures.
BUT I don't have a handbook and there is nothing listed anywhere else!
So help what psi should my tyres be inflated to?!

Check your sidewall's for the pressure. It all depends on size/load range/ maker, use/ etc. My cooper 31 10.50 15's run around 40-45psi the 33 12.5 16.5's 50psi. Then again these are load range D tires. My 31 9.50 16's that came with my truck are range E's running 70psi..

Well I'm running on UK tyres 235/75/15 (should strictly be 235/70/15 to match the US 7.00 x 15) and they tend to only give a maximum psi.
There surely must be a recomended psi?
I'm looking at road use, not loaded 90% of the time.

I rarely run unloaded, thus the higher pressures. Dennis's chart answers your question. Around 30psi
