Any recommendation on how to handle a leaky tank. It's the original, probably 16 gal, that sits between the frame and the drive shaft. Just finished replacing the fuel line today, which had rusted out, and now the tanks is leaking in a couple of different places. Crap! Is it common to have them repaired or a simple replacement? Any advice would be appreciated.
Well. . .check Jeffs bronco graveyard, a site sponsor. They have new after market tanks for sale $100-$120. Might try Ebay as well, I picked up an OEM plastic front tank there, and there are dozens of people selling steel tanks, used and new.
Pahaley,
I got one of those plastic tanks from Jeff's several months ago. It was a direct bolt in and seems to be working out very well. My tank was rusting out also. I'm not sure how the plastic will hold up in the long run yet, but I know it won't rust out.
Doc
Got my replacement tank in two days from Bronco graveyard. Awesome!!! Very happy with the tank, exact duplicate, and service was fast and easy. Thanks.
