"V-10 LET ME DOWN" . . . Final Chapter!!
I'm a Ford guy.
I've always been a Ford guy.
And I loved my '99 F-350 w/ V-10. It serviced me well for the two years I had it. BUT! I didn't do all the homework. A V-10 is a V-10 is a V-10 does not apply.
'99 must have been a "doggy" year for V-10's (1st year in SD's). Ford mods after '99 brought it up to what is now the engines gleaming reputation.
Long story short.
I'm still a Ford man . . . but . . .
I will be seeing you in the 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel section from now on. Got a 2001 F-350 CC PSD yesterday. We're hooking up our typical payload today and are going to drag it all over southern Wyoming. Gonna drive the p*** out of it!

live2hunt... you will love the 7.3L PSD I did.
Good luck brother you are always welcome to stop in. Sure wish you could have found a good 3V V10... maybe when the PSD finally craps out ( hopefully many years from now) you will give the V10 another chance. I went from PSD to gas and with the new capabilities of these extraordinary motors I will most likely never again have to consider a diesel.
Seriously best of luck to you the SuperDuty is the best truck on the road no matter what motor!
