C4 kickdown rod help? Anyone?

1973 F-100 with 302 and C4. The kickdown rod is gone, but the linkage on the carb (stock 2bbl), and the arm on the tranny are still there. This setup used a rod that attached only to the carb and tranny, no brackets. The bone yards here are slim and I can't find this setup. I want it stock so no Lokar stuff.

I have a very similar rod from the same setup in a '77 Granada, but it won't fit (hits the valve cover and firewall). I can rebend it, but does anybody have an image of the truck version I can use as a guide?? Thanks

I know you said no Lokar, but I highly recommend it... Easily installs and works great.

I would try and find a similar year truck and if you can't just take a peak, ask to. It would also be easy to go junking and find one out of a truck. Now, if you want to use the one you have, here's the deal. If you can bend it so it connects to both ends without putting a load on them, them move the kickdown without it hitting anything, it will work. Just make sure the carb and tranny are not engaged and leave the screw all the way back, almost out that is. Then you can adjust it from there. The book gives a procedure along with a gap but I just drive mine and if it kicks down to soon, loosen the screw. If you want it earlier, run the screw in more.
