My day time running lights are not working. I guess there is a relay for these but were is it? The Haynes book dosn't have much to say about it. The dealer wants over $100.00 bucks for it.
Has any one ever changed one and if so were is it and is there a cheaper place than the dealer? A junk yard might be a good place to start .
Thanks
There is a **** on the left hand side of the dash, If you pull it all the way out, not only will the headlights come on, but the tail lights as well.....much better than the reduced wattage the DRL have and a lot more visible..
The DRL on my Grand Marquis quit a year ago and I see no reason to fix them , because the first thing I do after starting it up is turn the lights on, it's realy not a big thing.
For a $130.00 relay I think I'll stay with turning the ****. If I ever sell her and have to ge t here safetyed Do you require DRL?
For Wilbert Its only in Canada
I switched the head lights to the high output Sylvania Blue about 4 years ago. The dealer said these might have caused the relay to burn out. They said they have seen wiring harness burnt because of these bulbs.
