suspension problems...
my 97 f150, with a 4.2 litre engine and it's a 2 wheel drive, has been giving me some suspension problems... i'm not sure if that is the problem, but wheni hit the smallest of bumps my hole truck could shake it's kinda weird and annoying. i had the whole front end done in march including coil springs, and i'm sure it's not the front end causing this.. i've noticed also that both my leaf springs on the back end are pointing outwards. could this be the problem???

it is normal for some outward movement of the center leaves. i woundl't think no more than 1/2", the leaf will pivot on that center bolt over the axle, and it prob. doesnt have a keeper on both ends. what would be of concern is a broken leave. this is not too uncommon, and i've read where folks have kept on driving and it stays in there, but i would replace it immediately. Does the back end sag on one side? hows your rear shocks? have you been carrying any heavy loads or a heavy trailer recently? ....paul

i'll look into what you suggested, but i haven't really carried anything within the last 2 months, but the problem just started about a month ago, so i'm kinda stumped.. but about my leaf springs. it's the bottom spring that looks displaced, like it was push down in it's position.. everything seems to still be tight cause i can't move the spring what so ever... both bottom leaf springs are displaced. so i don't know if it's normal or not...
