I have a 460 I'm getting ready to put in my truck, it has a high volume oil pump in it. I want to put a standard oil pump in and I need to know what year and what the motor came out of, if anyone can help me please! Thank you. Mike

that would be a 71-78 block. if you know what the head casting number is then your closer but still wide margin. most likely a 73-78.
but the oil pump depends more on the oil pan than the year of the engine.
is it front or rear sump pan. if front sump get a pump for something like a 73tbird, if it's rear or mid sump then a 73-78 E350 van pump will work.
