E40D..slipping
I have a '96 F-250 2wd, 250,000 miles, tranny rebuild at 155,000. Now my problem!! 4 days ago I arrive at my job, shut off the engine and when I went to restart it wouldnt start...so I looked around and didnt see anything wrong , batteries were fully charged, so I turned key on and crossed the starter solenoid with a screwdriver and it started, so I'm figuring just a bad solenoid, but now driving home yesterday the tranny started slipping from 3rd to OD. Acted like it was in nuetral while rolling down the road, occasionally it would hit the OD gear and go ,but is hapenening more frequently now and only after the tranny is warm..Would the solenoid being out cause this occurence cuz I havent replaced it yet?....Tranny seems to be fine in 1st and 2nd gear
