quick pyro question

I just installed the pyrometer and there is a bundle of wires with a "customer access" tag on it with a single, deadended wire. I hooked up the 12v lead to this wire for the pyro. It works when you turn the key, but is it ok to use this wire? Thanks for the help, y'all.

It's fine, just make sure you put the fuse inline.
Where did you hook the other end?
This is the 4-wire bundle behind the fuse box and terminating by the hood hinge on the driver's side, right?

The one i hooked into is part a bundle going into the diagnostic port above the gas pedal. There is one wire offshooting from the group...It looked good to use and there was 12v coming from it.

If it says customer access it should be fine. I can't answer to it being fused but I would suspect so. Go ahead and put in the fuse that came with the gauges to protect them though, it will have the proper value.
