clutch engaged/disengaged?
I have a 89f150 300six 4x4 5 spd. I was at the local mud boggin hole and had been muddin all day .It was time to shut the motors down when i was going threw one last hole.it was deep and full of water. i was just idling threw it and the water was into my floorbed of the cab when the truck just quit moving at all. No forward or reverse.Ive let the clutch dry out for a week but still noyhing at all. I can crank the truck and shift into all gears but nothing happens. No front will pull or rearend wont pull at all.Any suggestions on this.Maybe the throwout bearing?

How does the clutch pedal feel? Take the inspection cover off and look inside, maybe you can see what's going on. It's a pretty simple design, not a whole lot can go wrong with it. Maybe the hydraulic line came off?

yes thanks for the reply andym. I pulled the plate back and had a look inside. The best i can tell is the disc clutch is worn paper thin. I just would of thought it would have made some kind of noise or something before just totally quiting on me though. I guess im gonna pull trans on back and look at maybe getting a clutch disc for it.
