Power steering gear ??ss
from what learned, 771/2 to 79-3/4 ton trucks the power steering gear box mounted on the inside of the frame with 4 bolts.The half ton trucks the power gear box mounted on the out side of the frame with 3 bolts. is this right

yes, you are correct. and the 4 bolt unit is a great swap for older 4X4's for full time power steering. the 3 bolt one is apparently harder to use (never looked into it myself). hawkrod
