Well...I finally did it! I bought a 2001 expy with 56K miles, love it so far, and it's been the best vehicle I've ever owned. One unusual thing I've noticed is that when I first start it up, the digital readout on on the tripometer has a few skewed characters for about a couple seconds. After the truck starts, it displays the mileage correctly, but I just happened to notice since it looked like an anomoly to me.
Is this OK? I took it over to the dealer here in Orlando, they hooked it up to the computer, and didn't find anything wrong? Yeah, I can live with it, but my friend has a 2001 and his doens't do this?? I hope this isn't a foreshadow of something to come?
Has anyone else seen this? Should I be concerned? I have an extended warranty that covers almost any electronic failure but the dealer won't replace anything unless it broken?
