Cold Air Intake..........

I have a 2001 F-150 Super Crew. My truck has the 5.4 Triton engine. Me and my son installed a Cold Air Intake. I have noticed better throttle response. Sounds like a wicked 4 barrell when you get your foot into it. I would like to hear from those that have also done this. Are you satisified?? Have yall had any problems?? Thanks for any replies............

I put a short ram intake on mine. I'm quite happy with the overall effect. The only down side I have noticed is a slight whistle sound that can be heard through the intake. Apparently the stock intake has some sort of baffle system that eliminates the whistle. Oh well. I can't hear it over the radio anyway.

Had a AirRaid Intake on for 4 years. Loved it for awhile then it became another chore, cleaning, oiling, clean MAF sensor because of oiling, listen to loud whistling at idle. 6 months ago put stock intake back on with new stock paper filter and truck runs better than it did with AirRaid! Go figure and no more fussing with cleaning, oiling, MAF sensor, whistling. Just my experience for what it's worth.
