You will all hate me, but I have converted my blinkers to air. Works much better than those old-fashioned electric, and hydraulic blinkers do. I always hated having to recharge the electric blinkers. They seem to conk out at the worst time. I have invented a kit to convert to vacuum blinkers. It uses all original wiring and bulbs. The only weird sound is the sucking noise you will hear as I get your money. (Sick minds think alike!)
It was incredibly easy to install, except for that one little clip... you really need three arms for that one... oh, yea, that one other piece is a pain as well.
I figured as much. I guess I'll have to enlist the help of my three armed sister to get it done.
As far as air goes, I simply don't trust air any more after that bad experience I had one time breathing it.
I had the same problem with my 78 it was a bad grounds out at the light assemblys- socket to body grounds it was only one corner but it made the whole system blink slow I just cleaned the sheetmetal and crimped on a new ring terminal and it fixed it up
