Hello to all from Colorado Springs, found this forum tonight and decided to join as I see there are some very experienced members here to learn from.
Just bought a used 84 F250, it has a 6 cylinder 300 CI engine and one I know very little about, so.....looks like a good place to come and read and ask questions.
I own three trucks, 2 Fords and one Dodge, so guess I am actually 2/3rds Ford and 1/3rd Dodge.
I appreciate being welcomed here and the information I see that is available.
I am a do it yourselfer and one who will not buy a new truck but have learned that I can make my money work much better for me by buying a used truck and fixing it up.
If a man is not into appearances, this is much the better route for making your money count and having a good dependable vehicle.
I cannot see paying fat bankers and insurance salesmen the costs of financing a new truck, I save up enough money to buy one and one I do not have to put full coverage on but limit my insurance to liability, that saves oodles of money, plus the finance charges and the drop in value on a new truck when it is driven off the showroom floor.
So thanks for the welcome and the above describes my thinking for joining.
