99 Trans. Info
I was wondering if there a link somewhere here that could tell me what type of auto. trans I have? I guess from the threads I have read that it could only be one of two types. Any identifying marks? Which one is better? thanks.

The E4OD/4R100 (basically the same) came with the 5.4L engine. The 4R70W came with the 4.6L engine.
There is a transmission code on the door placard that will tell you which transmission you have. Use the decoder here at FTE to find out what the code means.
