Need a little help....

I have a 1989 F-350...been running a little rough...stalls from time to time.....has new plugs , wires ....just pulled 3 codes today .....22 MAP Sensor....18 loss of tach signal or DIS fault, primary circuit failure in coil....and 31 EVP sensor or PFE sensor..or EVR Solenoid circuit or EGR valve is not in its normal closed position. As I said it stalls periodically and seems to not have the power it should. If anyone could shed a little light on the codes I would appreciate it greatly. One more thing....Would a bad MAP sensor cause the other two codes to be thrown (18 and 31 codes)?? Thanks in advance,

I dont think so but stranger things have happened. Before you go spend a life savings on sensors the haynes manual shows a way to test the MAP sensor and EVP sensor. I would start there. Also check your wiring near the coil. Sometimes corrosion can form around it causing intermittent contact. Could be throwing the PCM off there. Haynes manual also show how to test the coil using an ohmmeter. Hope this helps.

You might want to check that the spout connector is in good/ good shape.
