if you have the correct mix of antifreeze you are ok without this stuff. if no antifreeze than this stuff works. read revikew on corvette forum long ago, but that was the gist.

Redline water wetter does help with heat transfer in the cooling system. Almost everyone on the SHOforum runs it through there cars (including me). Spend the $8 for it. If it does not help, then you have a different issue going on.

Nighthawk, I have heard before that water wetter has gummed up cooling systems with some brands of coolant. Do you know if this is true? What brand coolant do you guys run with water wetter?

I have never heard of water wetter gumming things up. I know that if you run "earth friendly" coolant's will gum things up because of the bi-metal in todays engines interacting with there special chemicals. I stick with Prestone, very good coolant.

BTW Any used coolant is hazordous because of the metals it picks up in the cooling system. There is no such thing as earth safe used coolant. FYI.
