Since the other thread was seriously hijacked by electro dudes: :-)
Question for TMI: Can a knucklehead like me use the stroker parts with stock heads to keep compression down to about 9:1 and still benefit from the cubes and longer stroke. If so...what cam etc would be recommended and would the performer manifold and 600 carb be adequate to feed the beast and would the heads flow be adequate for normal driving and low end grunt stuff..
ie a simple, poor mans extreme stroker package.

I feel that the stroker kit with stock heads will still be a great engine. Now that does sound like a sales pitch, but dealing with the number of customers we have that have JUST put flat top pistons and cam in their 400, they have been thrilled with the power. So given the extra stroke, decent compression, correct cam, even stock heads, it should be just fine.
