Swapping Instrument Cluster Q?
When you swap an instrument cluster in an early-mid '90s F-150, does the true millage on the vehilce show on the digital odometer, or the millage of the donor cluster? If it does show the donor cluster millage, is there some way to get around it? (installing your original digital odometer? And will that cause an (E) in it?)
Also is the speedo run by cable or PCM?
Are there any other pitfalls that I should keep an eye out for?
I am looking at maybe swapping out my non-tach cluster to a cluster w/ tach.
Here is an article I wrote up a few years back that outlines this swap.

that was an excellent article, thanks!
Now as soon as I get my hands on a cluster w/ tach, we will see if this swap works for the Aerostar/E-seriers dash's too.
