hi
a while ago i had iquried about a oil pan for my 351m/460 swap. i came up with a lot of them and ended up boying a moroso oil pan which did not work out. Some generous soul gave me a part # of another oil pan that would work, and now i've gone and miss placed the part #. Can any one recall the #? it had some thing to do with a kit that included the oil pan and pickup, it was also aroud $180.00 Ford Motorsports.... or Ford Racing....? Please help, thank you
I don't thimk an oil pan for a car will work on a 4x4 unless its a rear sump.....If I was you I would run an ad in the Engines part of the Classifieds section here on the website as there should be alot of old, used rear sump oil pans to fit your engine but they maynot be a 7 or 8 qt capacity.....I have a ford oil pan on my 400 which requires 5 qts to be full but I normally add an extra qt. and have not had any trouble---yet!!!!!......fd
here is a part number from obsolete ford parts website----it says for ALL-351c , 351m , 400......it makes no reference as to rear sump .......#DOAZ-6675-C.....$$179.95.......fd
hi
yeh it must be for a 4x4. it's a stock replacement pan so it can be as little as 5 qt. what ever the # was i could type it in at summit racing.com. ill try your suggestions and get back to you with my results. thank you.
