Hesitation between 58 - 62 mph
Has anyone with an 04 or similar model explorer noticed that when slowly accelerating on the highway, the car hesitates with rather low RPM as soon as 58mph is reached and if the gas pedal is pushed hard to get above 60, it then works fine again. On hard acceleration from a slow speed such as merging onto a highway, it goes past 60 perfectly normal without any hesitation at all. What is annoying about this is when driving on a highway trying to maintain speeds of 58 - 62. If traffic is moving no faster and I have to try to maintain 60 mph and can't go to 65 (which it works fine) because of traffic in front of me, it feels like the car is consistantly hesitating. I find this odd because it is always at this exact narrow band of speeds that I sense this - but, driving at 60 is becoming really annoying. Maybe its normal?!?
