Recently i replaced the head on my 1987 F-150, 300 4.9L straight 6, every thing is back in place, but the truck is missing badly like its firing on 1 cylinder. I put new spark plugs in and its still not firing. the rail that provides air in the head has a leak but i was also told it seemed to be a vaccum problem most likely. I started the truck and i unhooked the line from the booster and it ran a little better, but now it wont start at all and before i replaced the head it did not have this problem so can anyone advise me on what may be the problem
There is an Inline 6 (4.9 L) forum down the page a bit. I am going to put this there so that you will get better/more responses. Good luck with your truck.
