Possible auto tranny problem

I own a 1999 f250 7.3 auto 4X4 s/d with 150 K on it. I have serviced the tranny every 30 K as recommened in my manual, what appears to be happening is when I pull away from any location slowly the truck feels like the brakes are on slightly untill I hit approx 10 to 15 mph and then the truck lurches a bit and truck moves freely and that is the end of the restriction, it shifts fine thru all the gears smoothly. I have had the rear end checked, the brakes are not dragging, I can't figure it out. Any Ideas out there ?

sounds like a tranny or torque converter problem.
Trannys were a weak link in 99 behind diesel's

Whats the rpm range when you pull away from a stop? Does it act like torque converter is locked from a dead stop? You checked fluid level? Burnt smell?
