Turbo Charger Question

Ok, i'll apologize in advance for this 'newbie' question. I have a 2000 F-150 5.4L. I am looking to add some horses with a turbocharger, but i cant find one online anywhere. I am beginning to think they dint exist for my truck. Can anyone refer me to a site that has em, or is a supercharger my only option? If it is even an option.

Thanks again for all your help.

A supercharger, as far as I know, is your only option. Fortunately, an entire kit is available from a couple of different manufacturers. The one I'm contemplating is around $3500, and will likely get put on when I rebuild this engine.

Matt, check out that link I've posted. Those guys have put turbos on several F150s. One of the guys that works there posts in the turbo/supercharger forum sometimes.

*drools* Looks beautiful...but I'd never sneak a system like that passed the California Smog department.

ok so here is what i have found in relation to superchargers...maticuno, which were you looking at?

The ProCharger claims 65% gain at $4500...a bit too expensive for me

Paxton NOVI 2000 claims 44% gain at $3300

Powerdyne claimes 50% gain at $2650...hard to believe since it is the lowest price

Vortech claims 45% gain at $3700
