Kansas River's a lot like the Arkansas, isn't it? Wait until late August and it'll be maybe twenty feet wide and a foot deep.....not too big a deal.

I never tried jumping a go-kart, but it seems to me they don't have much of a suspension. The older ones had no suspension at all - when you hit a bump they SLAM you. Broke a lot of welds, too...

I guess I have no clear picture in my mind of how big a jump this might be. I would strongly suggest he practice getting out of it while underwater though!

I brought this up before, but don't know the physics of it yet. A ramp to Hawaii. A car elevator up to the top in Connecticut or so, then drive down it across the U.S., back upwards and off over the Pacific, and then parachute down to Hawaii.

I don't think it's so crazy

Don't forget the big airbags on both sides in case you miss your target by a couple hundred miles....water's sort of deep between California and the islands.

Now that is something that I just may do in one of my dreams. Logic has no place there.

How about me and my buddy's putting a yamaha 4cyl bike engine and tranny in a go cart last year. Yup the floor pan welds kept braking off and our feet had no where to rest. It was fast though. We took it apart to paint and my neighbor moved and most of the parts went with him.

My cousin put a 454 in a Chevette. Cut a tranny/driveshaft tunnel clean back to the rear end. The rear end was out of a camaro. 3/4 of that engine was right under the dash. Was fast though. We raced it on my uncles farm. never took it out on the road.Well mabey once. It had stock tires and everything. asked a couple times why it was so loud. I don't know a BB with a cam and hedders?? tore a good hole in a chevelles ego. yea he's a chevy boy but it was still fun.

My cousins snowmobile powered Mower an old MTD from the 70's vs. My 70's Wheelhorse with a 1200cc Harley Vtwin.

He had chain drive no clutch, no brakes, i had a belt drive with clutch and no brakes.Flipped the spindles to lower thefront end down. Took some work but ended up fine. Those were some bad little mowers.

I think they are still up on his farm. in a barn. Next time i go visit him it's time for races.

I want to build another racing mower. With the 2.9 i pulled from my ranger. Mabey someday.
