Trans cooler
Ok, I should now this, but the 114 degree heat has fried my brain. The trans. fluid return line going back to the trans. from the radiator is the upper line or the lower line. I would assume lower, but assumptions cost $. Oh it's a 93 f150. I could pull the lines, start it and paint my driveway red, but I rather not.

I can not offer information on what you are asking, but if you really have 114 degrees, you really should consider adding a transmission cooler, inline with the radiator. The in-radiator cooler is ill-prepared for that high of a heat.

the fluid cooler inlet tube is the rear one on the trans. and it looks like the bottom one on the radiator, that is assuming you have a e40d trans. the more info you give in your post the better people can help. it is very hard to see in the drawing so i suggest you follow the rear line. the lines cross in the drawing and not real clear.

Ummmmmm - and any particular reason for needing this closely shrouded piece of information? On my 1991 the return line was the bottom one. I just recently installed a light duty tranny cooler to help out the radiator cooler. We just pulled a long haul with the RV in tow and the tranny temp never broke the 170 degree mark. I are happy! I knew it was the bottom line 'cause I did what you don't want to do. Surprisingly, not all that much tranny fluid got pumped out while I waited and watched and the rags I laid out caught all of the mess.
