I did ask the question a while ago about a 53 and Fatfords kindly provided the details. I just wondered is a 56 is the same or wider?
The reason I ask is that I think I have found myself an old stable to be able to carry out the resto. But it only has a 6'6" (78") wide door. Will it fit?
According to the 53 specs it is nearly 76" wide so even if it is the same it is going to be very tight.
Lee - The 53 and 56 are identical in width (and most everything else). You may find that the mirrors are a problem, since they always stick out a little farther. I hope the inside of the garage is wider than the doors or working on it will be a real problem.
Yes the inside is big enough to get 3 motors in it, well it would be but for a load bearing post right in the middle of it, but I could work around that.
I am just not sure I fancy pulling it in and out of an opening with just 1" either side. It sounds like an accident just waiting to happen...
Oh dear,
There was me thinking I was going to struggle to find a motor. I found one after 3 weeks of looking really seriously. I have been looking longer now for somewhere to store it!
