Hello all, I'm glad to have found such a great organization!
I have a 2002 F250 SD 7.3 Diesel and need to replace the brakes all around. I'd love to swap out the rotors for high performance drilled rotors, but I'm not ready to fork over $500+. Does anyone have a suggestion regarding aftermarket front and rear pads that would work well with the stock calipers and rotors? Or should I just stick with the "straight from Ford" OEM pads?
NAPA has a "United" line of parts (I think thats the name) that is a higher quality. I got drilled and groved rotors and powder coated calipers with stainless pistons from them for a reasonable cost.
Thanks for the info Beartracks. I'm still searching around to find options. I'll post my findings in the next few days...
put some good ceramic brake pads on, bed them in properly and you'll be good to go. Unless you're going to be torturing your brakes roadracing I wouldn't waste the money for drilled rotors. You'll see no improvement. If you can go to bigger rotors that would help some. But good ceramic pads will be the biggest improvement. Drilled rotors look good, but other than that ?
