distributors stuck
The distributors on both my 79 351m and 76 400m WILL NOT BUDGE
I have let them soak in penetrating oil for days at a time. Tried
a pipe wrench and everything in between. A friend of mine heated
the intake and broke his distributor so I didnt even try that route.
The hold down is off so nothing obvious is holding it up. Any suggestions (Ive used liquid wrench and WD40)

Try using JB80.(penitrating oil) available at most parts stores...Let it soak real good then hit the VA unit back and fourth with a rubber mallet. I just did a dizzy on a 351 that I thought would never come out. Truck had been sitting for 3 years with the hood half open..Good luck!!!!

Try heating the area and melt a candle into it. Repeat it again. Put some torque on the distributor with a wrench then give it a tap. Your distributor is probably corroded into place. When you replace your distributor smear some grease on the mating surfaces when you install it.
