Question Anyone install Stone Deflector?

Has anybody installed one of these Ventshade, or similar, stone deflectors on their hoods? They use existing screw holes, but it would apear that you have to take the piece that holds the grill and it's support frame off of the main part of the hood. Not sure i want to do this, if there is an issue of re-aligning the grill. And who knew we had 2 piece hoods on these things? explains why they sound so flimsy when you close it.

A 30 minute job. You may have to adjust the hood stop when done but that is it.

jocacliff is right. A 30 min job if you take a break during. I had to readjust the hood stops also. The hood stops are the rubber bumpers at the bottom corners of the grill just screw them in or out, no prob.
If you can tie your shoes in the dark you can do this!!!
