Well I have another problem. I noticed that when I finally got my new engine running that it had that noisy lifter sound like the valves weren't adjusted correctly or they were loose on the pedestals. I pulled the valve covers back off the other day and noticed that when the valves are completely closed at the point on the camshaft lobe, I can wiggle the rocker arm a little bit. At first I thought that I may have not torqued them down correctly, but after checking them they were right at the same point they were when I put them on. The shop manual says torque to 26' lbs. and thats what they are at. I had a cam built for it, but I don't see how this would effect it. Any thoughts?
