I recently replaced my A/C evaporator and accumulator in one of my vans. I used a Freon replacement in this one, and didn't weigh the charge I went with the manifold gauges 35 low side 225 high side pressures.
I put a temp probe in the center vent, and on the lowest setting I am getting 36 degrees when the outside temp was about 80. Is this within the normal range for a full size van?
36* sounds plenty cool to me. but how does it feel? I do the HVAC temp wars at work. we have 75 seperate HVAC units. I was told by HVAC techs that if you have a 20* difference between the warm air going to be cooled and cool air coming out of your vents this is good.

Thanks for the reply: The temp feels pretty good, my problem is its an E-150 van (its big), dark blue and it gets hot inside, real hot!
I can see the temp wars you mentioned: a perfect example is if its cooling 20* cooler than the warm air going in, and the vehicle inside temp is 100*+ (easily 100*+), its going to feel hot inside the car. I am sure you've heard that before!

IMHO, I would think you're at your limit there. If it goes a bit cooler the evaporator may start frosting over blocking your airflow. I wish I could get 36 degrees.
