Another dumb noob question!

Not all noobs are dumb, but I sure feel like it... Took my truck to get the front end fixed and bumper replaced. They found an aftermarket for $100 so I told them that was okay. Then I found out it's not exactly the same and it's on my truck! It doesn't look true chrome or something. What's the deal? Any ideas? Thanks...

sounds like the company called Certafit.its a after market company the buys the old forgeing dyes from the factorys that have fallen a little out of spec.thats why they dont fit as well.and there chroming isnt as good.

I have a "sortafit' on mine, and the chrome was almost as good as the original. The only problem is sometimes you get a good one, and sometimes not. A certifit bumper should only cost $60.
