Besides the Rally what is everyone planning for the rest of the summer. Lets see where people are going for vacations and the suck. Any plans?
Mine are all done so far, have already used my vacation except for the days I am taking off for the Rally. The rest of my summer will be spent working on and hopefully playing with the 84 BII.
I'm taking a few days off the end of next week as my daughter, her husband and our new grandson are coming from Michigan. I've been trying to also do some work on the vehicles. Maintenance on the daily drivers and other stuff on the tbird and Old Smokey. Currently replacing the high pressure power steering hose on the Tbird. That should be simple, but no local parts store carries the original, so since it isn't concours quality had NAPA make one up. Then when I go to tighten the belt I find that the pump mounting bolt holes were helicoiled and the coils are now loose. Soooo. Nothing is ever simple.
Going to the rally end the month. Then work for about ten days then go to Little Sahara play in the sand. Then go back work for 6 days then fly out to Tennessee for the races.
Hope to leave no later than thursday for another Outlaw Trail trip. Then when that ends I won't even have time to return to KS. It's to Colorado for fun in the mountians. I'd really like to get back to Utah this fall. September or October. And in between and after there is Jr. to work on.
Had some bad luck this year. May have to stay at home next year and finish up Jr. and save up for more wheeling.
Work, work, work, work. Since I started the new job in Dec, I won`t be able to even TAKE a vacation till NEXT Dec. And only 1 week. Good news is 2 years there ya get 3 weeks vacation. Then it`s time to wheel Colorado!
Well....I PLAN on buying a new F-550, PSD, 6spd, 2wd for use as a hot shot truck, then buy a 40'+8' stepdeck trailer, get insurance, operating authority, motor carrier cert., all the DOT junk. Then throw a guy in to drive the thing. But first I gotta find someone to pay for it lol. Any takers hehehe
