dana 60 questions
alright, everything you hear about axles is you want a rear dana 60 with 35 spline shafts, but every dana 60 i find only has 30 spline shafts, is there an upgrade you can do to a stock dana 60 to put in 35 spline shafts, or am i finding all the wrong axles, or did i read or misunderstand a few things, someone straighten me out if you can

The big thing with 35 spine D60's is generally for the front axle. While there are some heavy duty D60 rears with 35 spline shafts the majority are the smaller 30 spline. If you want a heavy duty rear axle with 35 spline, 1.5" shafts get a D70 or a Sterling 10.25 axle.

Just put a 35 spline carrier in the rear and use 35 spline axles if you need them. I tow 10k lbs with a 30 spline and have never even started to twist a shaft. But I suppose if I drove like maniac I might....

Front D60 axles typically only have 35 spline inner axles while the outers (stubs) are smaller 30 spline units. But 35 spline upgrades for the stubs are easy to find.
