Steel Door Panel Replacements?
Well, I want to do this but I dont want to use fiberboard, I was planing on useing some aluminum diamond plate look sheet metal, I just dont know what thickness and the stock door pannels are not all flat so the door handle would be hard to put through a small little hole, and I was also wondering if there was somthing I could use for the hole where the door handle goes through the pannelm like how a window rolls into the door and theres thoes felt things that close up so nothing can get in the door, like dirt/pine needels... but instead of dirt or whatever it would keep the cold air from comeing in...? any ideas on how I would install somthing like this? I would really like to know if somone has done this idea? Ither email me or post somthing. Thanx ~

Some vehicles have little "brush like" seals that keep the drafts down. You will probably have to visit junkyards until you find the right one. Then either grab the used ones or get them from a dealer if available.
You could also try heavy felt.
.090 aluminum should be about right.

Yeah I was thinking along the lines of .090, I still want to know who has done this.... I dont really know what I am geting myself into with this aluminum... and never done anything like this befor.
