I just looked at your pics memorex and I see how you did all that now. I'm kinda doin the same thing. Cuttin the Y pipe right in front of the cat, and runnin two 2 1/2 inch pipes back to two cherry bombs on the passenger side (around the same area where the original muffler would be) and then goin up and over the axle with 2 1/2 inch and then curve one out the passenger side like it is now, and then have the other go all the way from the passenger side of the bed to the driver side of the bed where it will go out. Only trouble I think I'm going to have is finding enough fittings to go over the two different side downpipes and then gettin it over the axle. Guess we'll see how it all goes. Gonna need a lot of reducer and expander pipe fittings and muffler clamps

I need to update my pics...I added a 'hanger' (homemade ) to straighten it out a bit and painted all the pipes black with hi-temp paint...helps with rust.
I finally heard my truck when someone else drove it....sounds pretty damn sweet. I love that flowmaster...very low interior noise.
Did the same mod to my '95 - started with the dual straights - way too loud - got followed out of town by 2 hi-po's - got 2 30" packs put on and she has a real deep tone now - got a 5-speed in the truck so i can regulate the sound comin outta it - could go with shorter packs (like 24's or maybe a little shorter) but prolly not too much shorter or else she's gonna be REAL loud
o2 sensor is not a problem but if it gets cold you may experience a long warm up time at high idle - most noticeable at temps in the 20's and below
Alright next question..... how do I get from a 2 inch and 2 1/4 inch pipe both into 2 1/2 inch pipes? I'm guessing some reducer/expanders fittings but I'm not sure if auto zone or advance has em. Any better ideas where to get em?
I know autozone has adapters from say 2" out to 2 1/4" and 2 1/4" out to 2 1/2"....but it would be best if you got rid of whatever's 2"...make sure it's 2" because I don't believe they used 2" on these exhausts, I think it's all 2 1/4".
I read somewhere that one of the two pipes entering the 1st cat is a 2 inch, and then the other is a 2 1/4. Didn't make since to me either, Hopefully they are both 2 1/4.
I did the same thing on my 94 F150 351W E40d
no trouble at all, 24" packs sound great on her! good rumble to grrrr ratio.
Does anyone know if the O2 sensor needs to read from both pipes or is one ok?
Thanks
If the vehicle has 1 o2 sensor, which your 94 would, then that o2 sensor needs to be exposed to all exhaust flow. Ford had it stuck in a little H tube originally.
You need to maintain that, otherwise the o2 sensor will not be reading all of the exhaust gases and giving a wrong signal to the computer.

Thats why I think it be ok to drill into the centre of the "Y" pipe shown in this thread and weld in an O2 bung . This way it would be exposed to both exhaust streams.
