SO SORRY everyone.......the link didn't work.....should have checked it when I posted it.

THe picture shows the NO HOLES drilling shelf....I wanted to know if anyone else had something similar to this and if they had any viewing restrictions.

I think the picture should be here now.

Viewing restrictions will depend on how tall you are.

Hmmm, pics are a little small. And also I think that a tall person would get a crick in thier neck trying to look under that thing and drive.

I have a similar unit. also ordered from whitney. Mine doesnt have the electrical stuff or the console just a shelf. Its very handy for storing small items. Installed in 30 mins without drilling any new holes.

No real vision restrictions, except for birds and airplanes.

My dad has one in his 2000 sd. It is handy for small things i guess but i for one don't like it. It makes ya feel cramped if you ask me. It only sits about 2 or 3 inches above your line of site and i like to have the whole view. If you took a 1x6 piece of wood and held from the bottom of the visor hinges it would give you an idea of what you'll see. Than you can judge for yourself. Good luck.

i saw one of those in JC whitney, and wanted one, so i made it. cost: free. just some old hardi-plank and a 1x2 i had laying around for the lip of the shelf and some old brackets. yes, i had to drill a couple holes for mounting the brackets, and i pulled my visors off the roof to attach to the shelf. helps for when driving into the sun and its low in the sky. i'm 6' and have a bench seat in a reg cab sucked close to the wheel cause of a subwoofer box and don't have too much trouble seeing out. theres a few pics here.... http://client.webshots.com/photo/313...13948468yCavoZ

I have one and i coulnt live without it. It holds 2 gauges (i is my air ride pressure and the other is my trany gauge)next to that is my strobe control box, next to that is my sander controle, than a space and then my CB in the middle on the pass side is just for storage it solves a lot of problems and hides your wires to !!!!
