Here are some quick pics of the 434 build up. Lots of room, could use another 1/8" stroke or more. This assembly is internally balanced with out adding metal.
If I remember right the original stroker was 4.250" stroke with 4.030 bore which yielded 434 cubes.
Remember the 400 was introduced in 1971 and was never developed. The Ford designers probably had big plans for the platform that were killed by EPA regs.

I plan on bringing a bunch of parts, and engines to display.
A customer of mine in Witchita, we built a blown 351W stroker, it went into a '33 coupe. He is going to bring the vehicle to the ralley and park it in my "Booth" area. It is one beautiful car.
Jeeez! I wish I hadn't just built a roller cam motor. I can't justify starting over yet. But......all these new parts ???. I think you could build a real killer now and still be quite streetable.
I may start thinking about a short block, after I get the EFI done. Just think 450 cubes, the Engine Masters winning heads and manifold, Sequential EFI with Accufab or BBK throttle body, roller cam, quench, etc.
Can you say TORQUE. I can't keep my rear wheels stuck to the pavement now.
