Okay I hope I don't get whipped to bad for this question... I've always wanted to take my truck through the ditch down the road from my parents place. The ditch that i'm talking about barely has any water going through it, and is pretty steep and deep. I just wanna get ppl's oppinion before I do it. Also will need a tractor to pull me out if i get stuck, or could another 4x4 pull me out, since the truck will be at pretty steep angle? My truck is a 78 F250 4x4 460 w/ only 3" of body lift(don't blame me, I bought the truck with body lift) and 36" hummer tires. Now obviously i will not do this at anything over 20mph, LOL more like 2mph... and I will go straight through. Sorry if's it a stupid question, but i'm new to this big truck stuff I already know gas is gonna be a problem if I sit on the up side too long
BTW my grandpa owns the fields on both sides so trespassing is not a problem
No offense but that's a REALLY vague question. It's like saying "There's a REALLY big steak I'd like to eat for dinner. Can I eat all the steak and if not can I fit the rest in a doggie bag?" Try it and just be careful about how you do it so you don't damage anything. If you get stuck you'll quickly figure out what it takes to get UN-stuck.
Other truck would probably be my brothers F150 4x4, the next thing would be my dad's Chevy 3/4 4x4 , and last but not least a John Deere... But yeah, like I said it's a dumb question. Just kinda wondered if anybody else had attempted it. Ditch is probably 12-14ft in depth and the sides are probably at a 30-35 degree angle... If thats any help

go with the john deer if your bro's truck can't get you unstuck. resort to your dads cough cough ahemm chevy only as a last resort.
dont be afraid to get stuck. it will all be a good expierience. sometimes getting unstuck is just as fun as getting stuck
alhersch: it's not a stupid question, just an ignorant one. I think all of us are waiting for enlightenment. I don't think you could find a better place to explore your limitations.
If you stick with your plan and keep your brains out of your foot, the family Minivan should get you out. Take a shovel to dig out that rear bumper if it hangs.
