if you want a factory ride go with a kyb or monroe or something that your local tire distributer recomends, rancho, ect... are offroad shocks. they may not be exclusively for offroad but will not give the on road handling you are looking for. just my oppinion.

I installed 6 Edelbrocks and their awesome. They're valved really well for the street. I dont offroad so cant comment but I'm sure they would be just as good. They're $$$ however but in my opinion worth it. I also have heard good things about Bilstein shocks as well.

I have also heard good things about kyb for a close to factory feel. My Bronco needs new shocks badly, but I don't want to fork out the money because I plan on lifting it, and that requires longer shocks.

For close to factory shocks, gibson is really cheap, and they work ok, for just street.
