Has anyone installed the pocket style fender flares on a truck that doesn't come stock with the frender trim from ford. I just picked up a set and noticed that to put them on will require drilling in the fender of the truck. The instructions say to use the stock holes which are not there. Should i try istalling these or not.
Read the instruction.
(FRONT) Use the existing screws that hold your wheel-well (on F150), to screw in the L shaped brackets. Mount your flare and use the screws (from the kit) to mount the flare to the previously installed L shaped brackets. (Screws and brackets came in a kit)
(BACK) Slide in the S shaped brackets into the lip of the back fender. Screw in the flare to the S shaped bracket with the screws from the kit.
Don't forget to use the rubber seal (provided) in the edge of the flare.
Hope this helps.
