You might be able to just unplug it. Then the computer should go into open loop mode, and run fuel mixture at a predetermined factory set level. should get you by until you can repair the engine.
Since you are not getting any computer codes it could also be vapor locking when hot. When the engine is hot, and you shut off the engine the engine temp increases, vaporizing the fuel, so you cannot start it. When the engine cools off it condences the fuel and you are able to start the truck again.
Easy test for vapour lock. Twist the gas cap loose a bit(should hear a hiss). Leave the cap loose, and try starting the truck. If it starts, it's definitely vapour locking. Extremes in temperatures often cause this condition, and it can be an indication that the fuel pump is on it's way out. Should at least get it pressure checked in the near future. The pressure check will verify if it's the pump or not. It could also be a plugged tank vent causing the issue, which is a bit easier and a lot cheaper to fix.
