1997 clutch line problem
I just replaced the clutch, flywheel and throw out bearing in my 97 f-150 with a 4.2 and 5-speed. The clutch line will not lock in. I have bent the fingers in towards the center and have marked where the ring should sit on the line when locked. It seems that the line is not going all the way in the hole. Lacking about 1/16". Nothing in the way of line. Any suggestions.

Tried that still will not lock in. Someone told me to buy another finger lock ring, the old one may not be springing back to lock. He said he had this happen to him. Will try this. Will relay outcome.
