Fuel Tanks
I'm have forgotten which is the main tank on my 78.
Anyone know if it is the front one or the back ?
It's just a plow truck now & the switch might have been changed. Rear tank doesn't work (leaks & no filler). Truck quit as I was plowing, doesn't seem to be getting any gas.
Fuel filter is clear (I can blow through it & it was new last yr). Just put a new fuel pump on it today. Had no gas in lines and still don't get any.

I had a truck with a simular problem. It turned out that it was pulling fuel from both tanks. The valve that switched tanks was bad, and when the front tank was empty, even though the switch was on the full back tank the fuel pump pulled air.

Well seems as though the pick up in the tank fell off.
Blowing air back through the line gets air in the tank but no bubbles from the gas.
Ran a hose into a gas can & truck runs fine.
Going to pull the box (it's rusted junk anyway) so I can get to the fuel tank & see if I can fix the pick up.
